Challenge

A technical drawing had to become a case – and an image that lets everyone picture the finished product.

Solution

Engineered in SolidWorks; the same 3D data was used for CNC production and for visualisation in a digital photo studio in Cinema 4D.

Result

The case accompanied collector’s knife no. 30, auctioned from 27 August 2021 in an eBay charity auction in aid of “Ein Herz für Kinder”.

One data set, two uses: if you engineer cleanly, you get the visualisation almost for free – and vice versa.
